GamblingLore.com is an independent publication. What we cover — and how we cover it — is decided by our editorial team alone. No advertiser, operator, affiliate partner or interview subject can buy favourable coverage, kill a story, or review our reporting before publication.
Accuracy and sourcing
We verify what we publish. Reporting is grounded in primary sources: first-hand accounts, interviews, documents and archives. Where the historical record is thin — as it often is with early internet gambling — we say so, and we clearly distinguish established fact from recollection, rumour and community legend. Lore is part of what we cover, but it is always labelled as such.
Artificial Intelligence Usage
AI may be used as an editorial tool to support our newsroom, but never as a replacement for our journalists or editorial judgment. For routine news reporting, such as corporate announcements or regulatory updates, AI may assist with drafting or streamlining articles based on verified information. For original reporting, investigations, interviews, and analysis, our team produces the reporting and editorial conclusions, with AI used only to proofread, improve clarity, or refine the writing. Regardless of how AI is used during the editorial process, every article published by GamblingLore is written or thoroughly reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by our editorial team before publication.
Right of reply
People and companies who are the subject of critical reporting are given a fair opportunity to respond before publication, and their responses are reflected in the story.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and visibly. Corrected articles carry a note explaining what changed. To request a correction, email hello@gamblinglore.comwith “Correction” in the subject line.
Commercial content and disclosure
If we ever publish sponsored or partner content, it will be clearly and unmistakably labelled. If a link on our site is an affiliate link, that will be disclosed on the page where it appears. Commercial relationships never influence editorial judgment, and we do not accept payment for coverage.
Conflicts of interest
