A dispute has taken over the X timeline after Babix from Betbolt accused AceBet owner Hunter Flynn, known online as Hobbes, and associate Gerry of failing to settle a $100,000 betting marker.

The dispute centers around two separate $100,000 sports wagers that Babix alleges were placed on behalf of Hobbes through private marker arrangements. Hobbes has disputed Babix’s version of events, creating a public disagreement over the agreements, communications, and repayment obligations between the parties.

The First Marker

According to Babix, the situation began when Gerry approached him requesting betting credit on behalf of Hobbes.

Babix claims he agreed to provide a $100,000 marker after confirming the arrangement through both X and Discord. The first wager was reportedly placed on the New York Knicks moneyline at 1.73 odds.

Babix alleges the bet was successful and that approximately $73,000 in winnings were sent to Hobbes two hours after settlement.

According to Babix, the first marker was handled without issue, but three days later Gerry returned requesting another $100,000 marker on behalf of Hobbes.

The Second Marker

Babix claims the second wager was placed on the San Antonio Spurs at odds of approx 1.48/1.49.

According to screenshots shared by Babix, it shows his team waited for clear confirmation from Hobbes for placing the wager.

But unlike the first wager, the second bet lost.

Babix claims this was where the dispute began, alleging that after the loss, Hobbes and Gerry deleted messages relating to the marker, including confirmation messages surrounding the wager.

Proof behind the claims

A significant part of Babix’s focus is on the communication history between the parties. Babix claims Hobbes later denied opening or seeing the messages confirming the second wager. Babix disputes that explanation, providing screenshots showing X’s message information which clearly shows that Hobbes had viewed the messages shortly after they were sent.

Babix says that after confronting Hobbes about the deleted messages, additional messages were removed. He also claims Gerry deleted the group chat and communications related to the marker.

Public Accusations

Following the disagreement, Babix publicly accused Hobbes and Gerry of failing to honor the alleged marker agreement.

"I guess AceBet is doing so bad that their owner Hunter Flynn, AKA Hobbes, had to scam us for $100,000," Babix wrote in his initial post.

Babix also criticized Gerry’s involvement, alleging that Gerry acted as the intermediary for the markers and was responsible for facilitating the arrangements.

Hobbes Responds

Hobbes has publicly disputed Babix’s account of events and rejected the allegations made against him.

The response has created a wider debate within the crypto gambling community, with both sides presenting their own interpretations of private conversations and the agreements surrounding the wagers.

It is worth highlighting that, at the time of writing this article, Hobbes has removed all of his social media posts.

Calls for Resolution

Babix has challenged Hobbes to resolve the dispute publicly.

He has proposed a livestream where both sides could present their evidence and has offered to place $500,000 into escrow with a trusted industry figure as part of the challenge.

No public arbitration or resolution has taken place at the time of reporting.
